Chris Switzer began weaving in 1971. She keeps 5 looms busy making scarves, shawls, and wall pieces. She also enjoys making handmade paper and then applies stitchery to her conceptual ideas. She received a BFA from CSU in 1984 with double majors: fiber and anthropology. Chris and her husband raise alpacas and she uses their yarn in most of her work. As founder of the Art Center in 1987, Chris continues to help sit the gallery and works on membership.
