Scholarship
The Art Center participates annually in the Estes Park Education Foundation’s Scholarship Program for deserving seniors graduating from Estes Park High School. In recent years, a number of community organizations and businesses have contributed approximately $100,000 annually to this Scholarship Awards Program.
The Art Center awards a $1,000 scholarship annually to a qualified student who plans to pursue a course of study in the visual arts and can document their study of/interest in art during their high school years. High school seniors apply for specific community scholarships through the school early each year, and the awards are presented in May in the high school auditorium. A large, enthusiastic crowd of parents, friends, and students are on hand to cheer the winners on.
Additional scholarship money has been generously donated by the Women’s Monument Fund to the Art Center so that if more than one graduating senior who plans to pursue an education in the visual arts qualifies, they too may be recognized. Or in the event that a deserving community artist meets our requirements and is accepted into a specific course of study or program to achieve certification in a visual arts related field, we may be able to provide scholarship funds to assist with this pursuit.
