Kahuna Memorial Project
The majestic elk, Kahuna – aka Bruno, Big Thirds, the King of Moraine Park – captured the hearts of many around the world with his bellowing bugle and regal presence. Recorded as one of the largest and most photographed elk in North America, the Art Center of Estes Park has entered into an alliance with the Kahuna Memorial Project.

The Kahuna Memorial Project is officially in motion to establish a significant sculptured art installation of the iconic elk that will intrigue, inform and instill memorable moments of the legendary Kahuna while also increasing the much-needed public awareness related to safe wildlife viewing behaviors when near elk in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

A Kahuna Memorial funding page has been created on GoFundMe and the Art Center receives the online tax deductible donations with a designation marked for the Kahuna Memorial. Contributions may also be sent directly to the Art Center of Estes Park, attention Kahuna Memorial.
